At Strategi we are proud to offer innovative training solutions that meet the rapidly changing nature of the financial services industry.

Leading the way – new innovative training

This includes the fast track intern programme we introduced late last year to speed up the process of getting a new adviser qualified, and we were the first provider to launch video assisted training to help students obtain their New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (NZCFS) (Level 5) v2.

These initiatives allowed many students to gain their NZCFS (Level 5) v2 qualification within six months, and also enabled Financial Advice Providers to have their new advisers generating revenue within just two months of joining.

Today we are excited to announce four new training initiatives for the industry:

1. Reduced study fees: We have access to government funding to help reduce the cost of completing the Level 5 qualification. Conditions on eligibility do apply and right now, we only have 150 places remaining and these will be filled on a ‘first come first served basis.’ The government funding enables a student to complete the Level 5 qualification for only $850 plus GST for online study and $950 plus GST for Teams/Zoom facilitated training. We also have funding for classroom-based courses.

2. Night classes: We now offer evening classes for those undertaking the Teams/Zoom facilitated training. This enables students to work a day job then undertake a 2.5 hour training course two nights per week. We are starting with the core strand and if popular, we will expand this into the specialist strands.

3. Assignment support workshops: Most students who are currently undertaking their Level 5 qualification have not previously been a financial adviser. To help them better understand the assessments, we now provide a weekly evening assignment workshop. This enables students to join an assessor or facilitator via Teams and discuss any assignment issues. This is a great way to get your assignments right first time.

4. Continued Professional Development (CPD) improvements: Earlier this year, we rolled out a new way of identifying which CPD modules are right for you. We are now developing new CPD content designed to provide annual refresher training on key concepts relating to the role of a financial adviser or nominated representative. These CPD modules will be highly interactive and engaging. Radar users will be able to access these providing they have CPD module subscriptions. Larger FAPs can purchase bundles of the modules to host on their internal learning platforms.
