World Wealth Report 2019
Aim: To provide insights into the latest challenges and disruptive trends facing the wealth management industry when providing services to high net worth individuals.
Outcome: Completion of this module will enable financial advisers (audience) to:
- Understand the drivers of the decline in wealth of HNWI
- Identify the challenges wealth management firms will face over the next few years with rising client expectations of personalised offerings, service quality and fee transparency.
- Describe the disruptive challenges wealth management firms are likely to face, and the new technologies that will help those businesses respond.
Abstract: The past year has seen global high net worth individual (HNWI) wealth decline by 3% - the first decline in seven years. The Asia-Pacific region was impacted the most, with only the Middle East recording an increase in HNWI population and wealth. Globally HNWIs are becoming more risk averse, in anticipation of a potential market downturn. HNWIs continue to demand greater value from wealth management firms and wealth manager/client relationships remain important. The use of technology will help firms to survive and the report provides ideas for businesses looking to transform their business model.
