Client Onboarding – First impressions drive lifetime outcomes

Aim: To outline the importance of the client onboarding process, and present proven strategies to develop an onboarding process that will create a positive impact with clients.

Outcome: Completion of this module will:

  • refresh advisers' knowledge of the importance of client onboarding
  • enable advisers to assess their own onboarding processes and, if necessary, amend their onboarding practice to ensure the business is achieving maximum benefit from the process.

Abstract: The onboarding process is a significant opportunity to create a positive impact with clients, and the risks of not developing and then executing a proper on-boarding strategy are both high and potentially costly. The results of a survey of onboarding practices are presented along with fourteen key principles for building successful value client relationships.
