2015 Annual Report of the Financial Markets Authority
Aim: To present the Annual Report of the Financial Markets Authority for the year ended 30 June 2015.
Outcome: Completion of this module will enable financial advisers and market participants to understand how the FMA has performed when the results of its activities for the year ended 30 June 2015 are compared with its strategic priority targets, and the results of the previous year (ending 30 June 2014).
Abstract: The FMA is an independent Crown entity responsible for ensuring public confidence in New Zealand’s financial markets, and supporting the growth of New Zealand’s capital base through effective regulation. The results of the FMA’s activities in 2015, across its three strategic priorities, are compared with the same results for the year ended 30 June 2014. In this way the performance of the FMA can be assessed. The financial statements for the FMA are also presented.
