Virtual Compliance Officer: guiding your compliance

Strategi’s Virtual Compliance Officer (VCO) is ideal for financial advisory businesses requiring pro-active compliance risk management, but who don’t have their own compliance officer/department.

Provided throughout the year, the services you receive under this solution will be depend on your situation. Strategi will act as your in-house compliance manager, checking that your advisers and business (as applicable) are on track. You are assigned your own Strategi compliance officer, available for you to call or email when you need compliance or best practice advice.

What is included and what will it cost

Strategi’s VCO standard service includes:

  • Compliance help desk giving staff and subscribed advisers the ability to ring or email Strategi and ask any questions regarding compliance and best practice;
  • FSP registration reviews and reminders;
  • Two complete file reviews, per adviser, each quarter, providing feedback on any process/information gaps;
  • Twice yearly review of disclosure statements (and ABS if applicable);
  • Legislative and regulatory updates and guidance notes,

Pricing is per adviser per month and depends on the number of advisers within the practice, the type of adviser, and whether or not DIMS is being provided.

Optional add-ons


Radar is Strategi Institute’s online education platform, providing access to hundreds of articles with structured CPD hours, including all the AML/CFT training and DIMS training needed each year. Radar is constantly updated with new content to assist with the ongoing professional development of both advisers and staff. In addition to records of all CPD completed in Radar, it also holds records of CPD hours earned outside of Radar, along with advisers’ annual professional development plans. 


AML/CFT audits are not included as part of the monthly compliance package however, can be provided by Strategi Limited for a separate fee.

Strategi Institute Limited can provide guidance and templates to the business’ AML/CFT compliance officer. Strategi Institute charges a separate fee for providing these templates.
