Strategi expands to support industry transformation
At the beginning of the year, we indicated that Strategi Group (comprising Strategi Ltd and Strategi Institute Ltd) was undertaking a major restructure designed to build on our 20+ years of experience and grow a significantly larger team of specialists. Our focus is assisting our expanding client base to transition into the new regulatory environment and meet heightened compliance and education obligations.
Our restructure has involved investment in new technology, additional AML/CFT audit and compliance staff, additional institute staff, plus a major broadening of services and capabilities.
Earlier this year, a board was put in place comprising two independent directors plus David Greenslade (Strategi founder) as an executive director.
The senior leadership team is now complete with Daniel Relf as CEO, supported by two newly created roles: Head of Risk and Compliance (Strategi Ltd) and Head of Institute (Strategi Institute Ltd).
- Selvan Naidoo has been appointed Head of Risk and Compliance. Selvan has extensive compliance and advisory experience across the financial and professional services sector including Deloitte, GE and Westpac. Selvan leads a growing team of compliance specialists with expertise in AML/CFT audits, financial services compliance, FAP licensing and related consulting services. What attracted Selvan to the role was the breadth and quality of compliance services that Strategi offers and his ability to add value to our client advice. If you have any compliance related questions please contact Selvan.
- Dr Melanie Miller has been appointed Head of Institute and has responsibility for the management and delivery of Strategi Institute’s training such as the level 5 certificate, our newly created micro-credential course, and online learning platform Radar. Melanie has a PhD in Educational Psychology and a Master of Education. She brings a wealth of senior management experience having worked both offshore and within New Zealand in commercial organisations and education institutions. Melanie brings to Strategi Institute a whole new skill set relating to recognition of prior learning and workplace assessment. What attracted Melanie to the role was the opportunity to lead and grow Strategi Institute which is the only category 1 provider of financial services level 5 training in NZ.
