There is sufficient certainty that advisers should now be dedicating time and resource in their 2010 business plans towards obtaining the Level 5 National Certificate in Financial Services. By not budgeting the necessary time and expense, advisers could find themselves unexpectedly out of pocket — with less time to generate the revenue needed to cover this shortfall.
Furthermore, the longer it takes for an adviser to enroll for the required courses, the more chance there is of the adviser not meeting the December 2010 deadline and not being able to enroll for the course dates they prefer.
The clock is ticking. Advisers need to recognise the business risk of not getting their training underway towards the Level 5 National Certificate and the need to plan and get the ball rolling, before the rush of the entire adviser industry.
